Due to the circumaural design of the ear cups on both models, it limits the sounds leaking through the ear cups, giving you a more immersive experience.

The Sennheiser HD650 and the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro are compatible with all of your high end audio equipment and will work at their best when used with quality audio devices. Both models can be used with a range of devices and feature 3.5 millimeter jack cables as well as a 6.3 millimeter adapter.
While both sets of headphones can be used with portable devices, such as phones and laptops, the high impedance on both models will mean your sound quality won’t be as high without the use of an amp.
After looking at the main features of both the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro and the Sennheiser HD650 we think the better headphones are the Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro. Both models have similar features and the Sennheiser HD650 is still a very good set of headphones but the Beyerdynamic DT 880 comes in at around $200 less than the Sennheiser HD650.
