Overall Product Recommendation
While Brother and Singer are both fantastic companies for sewing machines, these two models are especially difficult to choose from. After reviewing the four categories my overall recommendation would be for the Singer 9960. Not only does it have a crazy amount of built-in stitches but the list of fun features was so extensive that I couldn’t include them all in this article!

The downside to the Singer 9960 is that it weights approximately 11 lbs. more than the Brother CS6000i. The extra weight can become cumbersome if you don’t have a set location in your home for your sewing machine. To constantly have to pull the machine out of storage would make the extra 11 lbs difficult to work with.
