The Jabra Evolve 65 and the Jabra Evolve 80 are headsets designed to let you experience the true sounds of your music, gaming, movies and calls. With the two headsets having similar features and being from the same brand it can be difficult to know which one to choose.
We have looked at the main features of both the wireless Jabra Evolve 65 and the wired Jabra Evolve 80 to help you decide which one will be better for you.
Comfort
The Jabra Evolve 65 is a super lightweight headset that features a slightly padded headband and soft padded ear cushions that sit on the ear. The Jabra Evolve 80 features a thicker padding on the headband that give you extra comfort when wearing them for long periods of time.
The ear cushions on the Jabra Evolve 80 are soft and padded and go over your ear as opposed to sitting on it. Both headsets can be adjusted to fit the size of your head.
Audio
Both the Jabra Evolve 65 and the Jabra Evolve 80 have microphones built in that cancel any background noise so you’re able to be heard clearly during calls without any outside noises causing interference.
The Jabra Evolve 80 has Active Noise Cancellation technology that eliminates both high and low frequency sounds from being heard through the headset. The over-ear design of the Jabra Evolve 80 helps to keep out the background noise, compared to the Jabra Evolve 65 which eliminates high frequency background noises but the on-ear design makes it less effective.
Features
The Jabra Evolve 65 has the added benefit of having wireless capabilities, meaning you can walk around up to 100 feet away from your device and still handle your calls or listen to music. Both the models feature adjustable microphones that can be stored in the headband when not in use.
Both the headsets can be connected to two devices at once, so you can listen to music from one device and and quickly answer calls from another. The Jabra Evolve 80 features a control unit where you can end and answer calls directly from the headset.
Compatibility
The Jabra Evolve 65 has bluetooth technology so you can connect to a number of devices without the need for any other software. The bluetooth connection will work with two devices at the same time so you can wirelessly have access to two devices and still have the freedom to move around.
The Jabra Evolve 80 has a 3.5 millimeter cable to be able to connect to your phone or tablet and a USB cable so you can connect to your PC or Mac, allowing you to multitask while sitting at your desk.
Recommendation
After looking at the Jabra Evolve 65 and the Jabra Evolve 80 they have very strong features in their favor and are both great headsets. We think the better model is the Jabra Evolve 65 due to its wireless connectivity.
