The Motorola MBP36S and the Motorola MBP38S are baby monitors that will let you see that your baby is safe and sound in their own room while you relax in another room. Both the models are from the same well known brand so what’s the difference?
We’ve looked at the features of both the Motorola MBP36S and the Motorola MBP38S to find out which one fares better.
Monitor
The MBP36S has a 3.5 inch color LCD screen that has buttons on either side of the screen to allow you to control the camera remotely. The MBP38S features a 4.3 inch color screen so you get a better view of what’s going on in your baby’s room.
Both the MBP36S and the MBP38S have the option of split screen viewing for up to 4 camera connections so you can keep an eye on more of your household. The MBP38S screen features touch screen controls that are just to the side so there won’t get fingerprints all over where the image is displayed.
Camera
The MBP38S has the added bonus of having an additional camera so you can set up a camera in either two separate rooms or place it at a different angle in the same room. The cameras on the MBP36S and the MBP38S deliver a clear quality image on the monitor and both feature infrared night vision technology to let you keep an eye on your baby in the dark.
The cameras on both models have a remote pan, tilt and zoom function so you can stay in control of the camera angles from your monitor in another room.
Features
Both the MBP36S and the MBP38S have built in temperature displays so you can keep track of the temperature in your baby’s room. Both models also have five lullabies built in to allow you to soothe your baby to sleep and both also have two-way voice communication.
The MBP36S has the handy bonus of colored LED lights that light up depending on the levels of noise in your baby’s room.
Ease of Use
Both the MBP36S and the MBP38S are easy to use baby monitors that are easily plugged in and charged using a USB cable that can attach to various devices. The MBP38S has a longer range than the MBP36S, meaning it’s better for larger homes.
The MBP38S will work at a distance of 1000 feet from the camera, while the MBP36S will work up to 590 feet away. Both models use lithium-ion batteries with the MBP38S lasting slightly longer at 5 hours compared to the MBP36S at 3.5 hours.
