Upon reviewing these four categories, the overall product recommendation goes out to the DR-05. The omnidirectional microphones and high-speed file transfer option through USB 2.0 are desirable features in a portable digital recorder. The smaller product dimensions also mean that it takes up less space in your bag when traveling between music recording opportunities or while conducting field work. If the recordings involve a lecture-type situation, where there may be lull points in the discussion, the auto recording options comes in handy.
