The Britax B-Safe 35 is a rear-facing, infant car seat that has weight restrictions starting as low as 4 lbs. and going as high as 35lbs. The overall product dimensions for this model are 21.8” x 20.6” x 17.7”. The weight is manageable at 24.2 lbs.
The B-Safe 35 Elite has the same weight restrictions of 4 lbs. to 35 lbs. It does, however, have slightly larger dimensions. The dimensions for the B-Safe 35 Elite are 24.5” x 20.8” x 17.8”, with a weight of 25.3 lbs.
Safety Features
The Britax B-Safe 35 has a number of desired safety features for any parent. The steel frame and impact absorbing base, coupled with energy absorbing foam lining the shell of the car seat, makes this model a fantastic model for safety.
The B-Safe 35 Elite has the same safety features as the Britax B-Safe 35, with some bonus safety features thrown in there. Some of the additional features include true side impact protection (TSIP) and dual-level indicators for accurate installation.
Cost Difference
While Britax tends to be on the higher priced side for car seats, these two models are comparatively close in price. The B-Safe 35 Elite is priced higher, but only by approximately $50.
Both of these car seats run in the $200 – $300 price range, depending on where the car seat is purchased.
