Overall Product Recommendation
After reviewing these two DeWalt drills, the recommended product would have to be the DeWalt DC970K-2. Although it does not have the LED light, which is a GREAT feature, the size and speed of the drill makes up for it. Its weight is user-friendly across the board, no matter the project or person.
The DCD771C2 was, although it did have the LED light, not the most effective drill for all consumers. It is heavier, which means people with less arm strength or less power tool experience would struggle with using it. It is also slower than the DC970K-2, which is surprising considering that it is larger.
