The overall product recommendation between the Sennheiser HD280 Pro and the Shure SRH440 was difficult, but ultimately goes to the Shure SRH440. While it doesn’t have the two color options that the Sennheiser HD280 Pro, the design features and included accessories from the Shure SRH440 take the game in this comparison.
Some of the features that we love about the Shure SRH440 are the replaceable ear cups and the bayonet clip to keep the cable securely locked into the ear cups. These two features are wonderful additions to have to both protect your cable from accidently falling out, and offering a way to keep your headphones functioning when ear cups go bad.
The included accessories for the Shure SRH440 feature a carrying bag and user documentation. The carrying bag not only helps to keep these headphone sin great working condition while not in use, it also helps to protect the headphones while you are traveling.
It would have been nice to see another color option other than black on the Shure SRH440. Whether it is black and silver options, like the Sennheiser HD280 Pro, or other colors, it would be nice to have a choice when purchasing the Shure SRH440 model.
