The LX-3000 is compatible with some of the major chat software currently available on the market. This makes it easy for people to use the LX-3000 to stay in touch with friends, family and business associates. With this compatibility, there is no worry about only being able to use the headset with one chat software type.
In addition to the compatibility, the leatherette ear pads make this model a comfortable choice for either a five-minute business conversation with a coworker or a three-hour long conversation with your mother.
However, there are two features on the Microsoft Lifechat LX-6000 that we find valuable and wish would have been included on the LX-3000 design. These two features are the inline volume and microphone controls and the call indicator light.
The inline volume and microphone controls make adjusting your volume comfort for every call easier and more discrete. The call indicator light is a useful feature, especially if you are using this headset in a business setting. It lets people who physically stop by see that you are currently using your headset and are currently unavailable.
