The Syma X5C and the Syma X8c are both remote control quadcopter drones that have built in cameras. They can both be flown inside and outside and are a similar size, so how do you know which one is better?

Flight
Both the Syma X5C and the Syma X8C have 6 axis gyroscopes built in that give the quadcopters better stability during flight. Both models are designed to be flown inside and outside and both are resistant to normal wind conditions.
The Syma X5C can fly a distance of around 165 feet from the controller compared to the Syma X8C which can fly around 330 feet from the controller. Both models can fly in all directions and can perform 360 degree flips.
Style
The Syma X5C and the Syma X8C both have four rotating blades on each of the four arms and the Syma X5C has two landing skids compared to the Syma X8C which has four. They are both white in color with Syma branding.
The Syma X5C measures 16.5 inches by 12.2 inches by 3.8 inches and weighs 1.2 lbs. The Syma X8C weighs a little bit more at 3.2 lbs, giving it extra resistance against wind and measures 14 inches by 13.8 inches by 7.1 inches.
Battery
Both the Syma X5C and the Syma X8C come with lithium polymer batteries that can be recharged for each use and the control pads use AA batteries that are not included with the drones. The Syma X5C takes around 100 minutes to fully charge, which will give you around 7 minutes of flight time.
The Syma X8C takes twice as long to fully charge the battery at around 200 minutes and you will still only get around 7 minutes of flight time.
Ease of Use
Both the Syma X5C and the Syma X8C are designed to be easy to use and are suitable for beginners due to the help of the 6 axis gyroscopes on both models, which gives you more control over the flight and direction of the quadcopter. The two models both have 2 MP cameras on board the drones and can take videos as well as still pictures.
The Syma X5C can take pictures and perform flips with just the touch of a button on the control pad. Both models have 4 channels so you can fly more than one quadcopter without any interference and both can be easily charged using their USB cables.
Recommendation
After analyzing the features of the Syma X5C and the Syma X8C we think the better quadcopter is the Syma X5C. It has a lot of the features that the Syma X8C has and is almost half the price.
They are both ideal for beginners and are both durable enough to withstand inevitable crashes. We just think that, even though it’s a good quadcopter, the Syma X8C is not worth the extra cash.
