Android phones are one of the major smart phone operating systems available. A large companies use the Android operating systems on their smart phones which means there is a wide variety to choose from. How do you know which Android phone is for you?
Here are two options to consider if you’re looking for an Android-based phone: the Blu Studio 6.0 and the Nexus 6, created by Motorola.
Each phone has its own unique way of working, but we’ll look at these 4 specifics: screen display, battery life, Android operating system and fun features.
Screen Display
The screen display is a pretty important part of the phone – it’s what you touch, see, and one of your first consideration points… i.e. how large of a phone/screen do you want.
The Blu Studio 6.0 is a good-sized phone. Its screen is 6.0” and has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixles. As are most phones today, it is a multi-touch screen (i.e. a Smartphone).
The Nexus 6 screen is barely smaller than the Blu Studio 6.0, with a size of 5.96”. Don’t let the slightly smaller screen put you off. It boasts 1440 x 2560 pixles and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Battery Life
One of the second most looked-for items on a Smartphone is the battery life. If you’re looking to buy an Android phone then you most likely intend to use it as a Smartphone. Thus, the battery life needs to keep up with you.
The Blu Studio 6.0 contains a non-removable LI-PO 3000 battery. This translates into the following:
- Sand-by time: Up to 980 hours, if used with 2G
- Sand-by time: Up to 890 hours, if used with 3G
- Talking time: Up to 40 hours, if used with 2G
- Talking time: Up to 24 hours, if used with 3G
The Nexus 6 has a 3220 mAh battery and a Qi wireless charging station. This would translate into the following:
- Up to 250 hours (if you are using Ambient display, up to 330 hours if not)
- Talk time up to 24 hours
- Video playback up to 10 hours
- Internet time up to 9.5 hours with Wi-Fi (10 if using LTE)
Android Operating Systems Included
It’s already been mentioned that both the Blu Studio 6.0 and the Nexus 6 are Smartphones that use the Android Operating systems. The question is… what Android operating system comes included?
The Blu Studio 6.0, straight out of the box, features the Android OS v4.2 (also known as Jelly Bean). It is, however, upgradable to v4.4.2 (known as Kitkat).
The Nexus 6 is a step ahead and features the latest operating system put out by Android. The Nexus 6 comes, out of the box, with Android 5.0 (also known as Lollipop).
Just a side note – I don’t know who decided to name all the Operating Systems after delicious sweets, but it sure is easier to remember than version 4.2, 4.4.2 and 5.o!!

Now the time has come to discuss the best part – the fun features!!
The Blu Studio 6.0 has some great features, to include:
