Key Switches
Because you may use your keyboard for both gaming and typing, the Corsair Vengeance K70 and the Corsair Vengeance K95 offer three different key modes to choose from.
The classic Cherry MX Red gives smooth, linear key responses. There is no click noise made so if you do a lot of very quick key typing then you won’t be distracted by the noise. There are also no tactile bumps that are found on traditional keys.
The Cherry MX Brown key model is made for users who game a lot but also need to use their keyboard for typing. These switches provide fast and precise ability for completive play. While there is no audible click when you press on a key, there are tactile bumps on the keys.
The third option for the Corsair Vengeance K70 is the Cherry MX Blue. This is the best option if, in addition to gaming, you also need to type a lot. There is both an audible click that can be heard as well as tactile feedback.
G-Keys
To put it simple the Corsair Vengeance K95 has G-Keys and the Corsair Vengeance K70 does not. The Corsair Vengeance K95 comes with 18 customizable G-Keys and you can easily record up to 54 key sequences that will enable faster play.
Recommendation
What it all comes down to, between the Corsair Vengeance K70 and the 90, is, will you need the extra G-Keys? This comes down to a combination of personal preference and gaming needs.
