The Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 is a stylish gloss black keyboard that features curved full size keys and a corresponding mouse. The Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 6000 is a larger keyboard, with full size curved keys and is a black and gray design with modern translucent detailing.
The Microsoft Wireless 5000 is an average sized keyboard that will take up a little less room on your desk than the Microsoft Wireless 6000. The Microsoft Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000 measures 8.7 by 2.9 by 18.5 inches compared to the Microsoft Wireless 6000 which measures 9.3 by 3.3 by 20 inches.
Compatibility
Both keyboards are designed to work with Microsoft products and will work at their best with Windows software. Both models have Windows specific keys that will let you instantly access the Media Center and other functions.
Each of the keyboards are wireless and connect to a USB receiver that gets plugged into your desktop or laptop, with the Microsoft Wireless 5000 having a 30 foot range compared to the Microsoft Wireless 6000 which has a 10 foot range. Both models will also work with most Mac OS software.
