The Omega J8006 and the Omega VRT350 are both low speed masticating juicers that will let you juice all types of fruit in your own home. With the two models being from the same manufacturer and having similar features, it can be difficult to know which one to choose.
We have looked at the main features of both the Omega J8006 and the Omega VRT350 to see which one is the better juicer for your home.
Style
The Omega VRT350 is a vertical juicer so it’ll be in an upright position in your kitchen compared to the Omega J8006 which is more of a horizontal design. Both the juicers are a stylish design with a professional appearance, with the VRT350 fitting the more traditional shape of juicers.
The vertical VRT350 will take up less space on your countertop because of its design. The VRT350 measures 7 by 15.5 by 8.5 and the J8006 measures 14.5 by 6.5 by 15.5 inches.
Speed
Both the Omega J8006 and the Omega VRT350 process fruit into juice at a lower speed than centrifugal juicers, with both operating at 80 rpm. This means it’s able to extract more juice from your fruit and is able to extract juice from leafy vegetables.
The two models use a strong auger that can extract juice from harder vegetables, such as root vegetables. The Omega J8006 has the equivalent power of a 2 horsepower motor.
Functions
The Omega J8006 and the VRT350 are masticating juicers that allow you to harness the health benefits and nutrients of all the fruit you juice and leaves a dry pulp as it, too, gets pressed to extract juice. Because of the way the juice is extracted in both juicers the juice produced can be stored for 72 hours after extraction.
The Omega VRT350 benefits from having two separate chutes for both pulp and juice and has a tool that allows you to push the vegetables into the chute. The Omega J8006 has a range of attachments that can be used to make pasta, nut butters and grind coffee.
Ease of Use
Both the J8006 and the VRT350 are easy juicers to clean with the VRT350 having an automatic cleaning function for convenience. The VRT350 also has a reverse function which will help if any fruit becomes clogged in the juicer.
The two models are easy to use and quick to assemble and both can handle a variety of different fruits and vegetables. Because of the size of the chutes on both juicers, some larger fruits will require to be chopped before being put in the juicer.
Recommendation
After looking at the features of the Omega J8006 and the Omega VRT350 they are both high quality home juicers. While the Omega VRT350 takes up less space in your kitchen, the additional features of the Omega J8006 makes it the better juicer, in our opinion.
The Omega J8006 is a more versatile juicer, as well as being less expensive, so you can get more use out of it and better value compared to the VRT350.
