Espresso machines are a fantastic addition to any home or coffee business. Choosing the right one for you, however, can be a tedious task.
We’ve selected two models for you to consider: the Brivelle 800ESXL and the De’Longhi EC702.
Take a look at these four categories to find the important information on both these models: water tank capacity, type of coffee used (i.e. ground, pods, etc.), dimensions and weight, and additional fun features.
Water Tank Capacity
The Brivelle 800ESXL contains a 75 oz. water tank. As an added bonus, it is removable and is a front-fill tank.
The De’Longhi EC702 feature a 44 oz. water tank. Similar to the 800ESXL, the water tank on the EC702 is also removable. This water tank, however, has an indicator light and a drip tray that is also removable.
Type of Coffee Used
The 800ESXL uses ground coffee (either the kind you grind yourself fresh or the pre-ground coffee bought in stores).
The EX702 can use the ground coffee, similar to the 800ESXL, but it also has the ability to use those convenient pods, similar to what a K-Cup is.
Dimensions and Weight
The dimensions of the 800ESXL are: 15 x 16 x 13 inches. The overall weight of the machine is approximately 20 lbs. This makes it convenient for either the home or coffee business.
The dimensions of the EC702 is considerably smaller than the Brivelle 800ESXL. The dimensions for the EC702 are: 11 x 9.1 x 11.6 inches. This espresso machine weights approximately 13lbs. This makes it especially nice for smaller houses and apartments, or for a coffee shop with a smaller square footage.

Overall Recommended Espresso Machine
Both the Brivelle 800ESXL and the De’Longhi EXC702 are incredibly similar. If I had to pick one then I would choose the De’Longhi EC702. One of the main selling points of the EC702 was the ability to use both the ground coffee beans but also (if I’m feeling particularly lazy that day) the coffee cups like K-cups.
I also like the size of the D’Longhi EC702 more than the Brivelle 800ESXL. It is almost two inches smaller all around, and about seven lbs lighter. This makes it a great fit into my tiny kitchen!
