Introduction
Click, classic, connect. Why must they make baby car seat names so confusing? Add in the loss of thought process that comes with newborn sleep deprivation and all of the terms can become overwhelming.
Hopefully you’re doing your research before the baby comes, and if not, don’t panic as we’ll guide you through the specific terms in relation to the Graco brand of car seats. The Graco SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the Graco Snugride Click Connect 30 have been compared using the following categories: weight restrictions, compatibility, technology, and safety.
Both Graco car seats, the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30, are rear-facing car seats that allow you to keep your baby in the car seat as you transfer him in and out of the car.
The SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30 are meant for newborns who weigh between 4 to 30 pounds. Babies should also be less than 30 inches tall.
Compatibility
Because both the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30 are made from Graco, they are best suited for Graco strollers. However, Graco has an extensive line of different strollers, for many different needs.
The SnugRide Classic Connect 30 should be used with other Graco strollers that bear the name Classic in them, while the SnugRide Click Connect 30 should be used with the Graco Click line of strollers.
Both the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30 can be used for some other brands of strollers, but will probably need an extra attachment bar. It is always best to check with the stroller brand to see what car seats are compatible with them.
Technology
To put it simply, the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 uses Connect technology while the SnugRide Click Connect 30 uses a newer form of technology, named Click technology. Both systems have been widely tested and are safe.
With the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 car seat, you will need to snap the shell of the car seat into a stroller and use a secondary attachment strap or lever to fasten the car seat. Because there are different models within the Classic Connect family, instructions might not be able to transfer over.
For the SnugRide Click Connect 30 car seat, you simply place the car seat into either the base in your car or into your stroller and you will hear a “click” when the car seat is in its proper place. It is then properly secured and you can continue travelling onwards.
Safety
Both the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30 have been rigorously tested to ensure that your baby remains safe. They have been crash tested to meet or exceed Safety Standards in each country of purchase.
Recommendation
Graco is a reliable brand, widely used by parents. They have a large line of car seats to meet all of your needs, including the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30.
The design elements and usage for both the SnugRide Classic Connect 30 and the SnugRide Click Connect 30 are the same, but if given the choice, the SnugRide Click Connect 30 is the better choice.
